Ferrara

Oggi inizia il periodo dell'Avvento! I negozi sono aperti anche la Domenica, e viene più voglia di fare qualche gita fuori porta, magari alla ricerca di qualche pensierino natalizio. Oggi sono stata a trovare mia sorella a Ferrara, piccola cittadina o grande paese (dipende dai punti di vista) con molte tradizioni, specialmente culinarie :-)
Resa famosa dagli Estensi, Ferrara è un piccolo gioiello tutto da scoprire, ci sono monumenti e boutique carine per tutti i gusti. In questo periodo c'è anche un bel mercatino di Natale in piazza Trento e Trieste. Se cercate un posto dove mangiare non avrete che l'imbarazzo della scelta. Today begins the Advent season! The shops are open on Sunday, and people are more willing to make some trips out of town, maybe looking for some Christmas' gift. Today I went to visit my sister in Ferrara, a small town or large village ( it depends on your point of view) with many traditions, especially culinary ones :-)
Famous in the world thanks to the Estense family, Ferrara is a little gem full of monuments and cute boutiques for all tastes. In this period there is also a beautiful Christmas market in Piazza Trento e Trieste. If you want a place to eat you will have a huge choice.
